The GK420d is Zebra's workhorse direct-thermal desktop printer — 203 DPI, USB, reliable for shipping and product labels. Still widely used on eBay/Etsy fulfillment benches. This guide covers physical setup, Browser Print, and printing from mylabelmaker.

GK420d specs that matter

Setup steps

  1. USB to computer, power on, load 4×6 or 2×1 labels.
  2. Hold Feed 2 seconds to calibrate gap sensor.
  3. Install Zebra Browser Print, restart browser.
  4. Open app.mylabelmaker.com, select GK420d, set artboard to match loaded stock.
  5. Print test barcode — scan with phone to verify.
