What a check digit is for

Retail barcodes end with a check digit so a mis-scan fails instead of ringing up the wrong SKU. Paste the digits you have. This calculator does not issue GTIN or UPC numbers. It only computes the last digit using the standard modulo-10 method.

Then print the barcode

  1. Paste the digits without the check digit.
  2. Read the full number, including the check digit.
  3. Click Generate barcode. The matching UPC, EAN, or ITF-14 is placed on the canvas.

FAQ

Will this give me a UPC I can sell with?

No. You need numbers from GS1 or a prefix you already own. This only finishes the check digit on digits you paste.
