When EAN-8 fits
Tiny cosmetics or candy packs sometimes use EAN-8 instead of EAN-13. The bars still need a quiet zone. If you only have an internal SKU, use CODE128 on a small 1×1 or 2×1.

FAQ
Is EAN-8 the same as UPC-E?
No. UPC-E is a compressed UPC-A. EAN-8 is its own 8-digit EAN type. Pick the one the POS expects.
