How to print Zebra labels from Word

Do this in the free app: app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Design the label, then print on a Zebra or download PNG / PDF / ZPL.

How to print Zebra labels from Word is a painful search because Word thinks in Letter pages. Set the real 2x1 or 4x6 size in the free label maker, paste the text, and print. Keep Word for the letter.

Good to know: We do not open .docx mail-merge files. Paste the list as CSV, or type the face once.

How to print Zebra labels without Word tables

  1. Open the free label maker instead of a Word label wizard.
  2. Set the thermal size (not 8.5x11).
  3. Add the line, barcode, or QR. Load CSV if the list lived in Word’s data source.
  4. Print on the Zebra with Browser Print, or export PDF if you only have a laser.

If you must keep Word

Export the mail-merge source to CSV. That file is what this editor wants. The .docx layout itself will not survive a 203 dpi thermal head.

Print or save

Zebra thermal: print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer’s DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. JSON keeps the editable master.
