Print DYMO labels from Excel or Google Sheets
You can print DYMO labels from Excel or from Google Sheets without retyping the names. Design the label once, at the size of the roll, click the column names onto it, and print one label for each row you checked. It is free, and you do not sign up.
Forty-two envelopes, one Google Sheet
Maya fires pottery and ships mugs. She keeps a Google Sheet called Mug orders. The first row is Name, Street, City. Row 7 is Samir Khan, 710 State St, Madison, WI 53703. There are 42 rows like that, and 42 envelopes on the table. The roll in the DYMO LabelWriter 550 says 30252.
Last time she typed each address into DYMO Connect. By envelope 20 the street number was wrong. The sheet was already correct. She did not need a new list. She needed the list she already had, on a 30252 label.
She opens the DYMO 30252 address template. The label on screen is 3.5 by 1.12 inches, which is that roll. SHIP TO, a name, and two lines of address are already placed. She deletes the sample and clicks her own column names into those spots.
How the sheet gets onto the label
A normal Google share link will not load. In the sheet she uses File, Share, Publish to the web, and picks comma-separated values. She pastes that link. If the orders had been an Excel file on the laptop, she would upload the .xlsx instead. A CSV export from her shop works the same way. The first row has to be the column names, Name, Street, City, not a person's name.
She clicks Name onto the big line, Street under it, City on the last line. Row 7 stops being a row. It is a label that says Samir Khan, 710 State St, Madison, WI 53703. The next row is a different person on the same layout. She did not copy the label 42 times.
Two orders are not paid yet. She leaves those rows unchecked. Print this prints only the label she is looking at, so she can stick one envelope and see that the city is not cut off. Print prints the rows she checked. The Excel file, if she used one, stays in this browser. We do not keep a copy of her customers.
Match the number on the roll
30252 is the common address roll, and a LabelWriter 450, 450 Turbo, 550, or 550 Turbo can print it. So can a 4XL. If the box says 30321, that label is a little taller. Open DYMO 30321 large address instead. A product list with a SKU uses DYMO 30334 barcode. A 4x6 pack label, number 1744907, needs a LabelWriter 4XL. A 450 cannot print a label that is 4 inches wide. When you print, choose Print from this computer and set the DYMO driver to the same size as the template. Do not scale the page, or the address slides off the sticker. We do not install DYMO Connect for you.
How Maya prints the 42 labels
- Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com/?template=dymo-30252-address. No signup.
- Put Name, Street, and City in the first row of the sheet. The people start on row 2.
- Publish the Google Sheet as CSV and paste the link, or upload the Excel or CSV file.
- Click each column name onto the label. Look at a short name and a long one.
- Uncheck anyone you are not mailing. Print this for one test. Print for the rows you checked, from this computer, on the LabelWriter.

Can I print DYMO labels from Excel without DYMO Connect?
Yes. Upload the workbook, click the column names onto a 30252 label, and print from this computer. CSV and a published Google Sheet work the same way. No signup.
Which DYMO template should I open?
Read the number on the roll. 30252 and 30321 are address labels. 30334 is a barcode. 30256 and 4x6 need a LabelWriter 4XL. The DYMO sizes page has an Open it button for each one.
Do I have to print every row?
No. Check the rows you want. Print this is only the label on the screen.
When you're ready to print or save
Look at one row before you print the rest. On a regular printer, choose Print from this computer and do not scale the page. On a Zebra printer, pick that printer after Browser Print is installed. You can also download a PNG, a PDF, or the ZPL. Save a JSON file if you want this label and this list again.
