Name badge maker for guests, visitors, and staff

A badge is read from a few feet away, so the first name does almost all the work. The company, the role, or the table is the second line and it should be obviously smaller. A guest list in Excel or Sheets is the whole data file: one person per row. Import it. Do not type two hundred names into the sample label.

Visitor badges are the same layout with a column that says Visitor, Vendor, or Staff. You can print them as people arrive if you import a one-row file, or print the expected list in the morning and write the walk-ins. This does not include a plastic holder. It prints the insert.

  1. Export the guest list with first name, last name, and company.
  2. Open the name badge card.
  3. Map the first name to the large line.
  4. Print one. Pin it on and step back.
  5. Print the list. Keep the file, because the reprint of one lost badge is the same row.

A full mail-merge style list is mail merge labels. Sheets guests are print labels from Google Sheets. Address labels for the envelopes, which are a different size, are address labels.
