Zebra label software for Windows — free browser alternative
Most US warehouses run Windows 10 or 11 next to a Zebra ZD420/ZD421. The default software story is ZebraDesigner (Essentials or paid) — installers, licenses, and an older UI. There is a simpler path: free browser-based Zebra label software that works in Chrome or Edge, with one small helper for printing.
What to install on Windows
- Nothing for design — open app.mylabelmaker.com in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Brave.
- Zebra Browser Print (free) — only when you want direct USB/network print. Installer links on the setup section; full guide: Browser Print setup.
- Connect the printer, restart the browser once, select the Zebra in mylabelmaker.
IT-friendly: no admin rights needed for daily design (browser only). Browser Print is a one-time helper install — lighter than full ZebraDesigner + license keys for every station.
