FedEx is a primary carrier for US B2B and e-commerce shippers. Many businesses receive a free or discounted Zebra thermal printer (historically ZP505/ZP506 and similar) with a FedEx business account — perfect for 4×6 thermal stock. Whether you run that account printer or a retail ZD420/ZD421, you can design and batch ship-to labels with free browser software.

mylabelmaker lets you build FedEx-style layouts, pull addresses from CSV, preview every package, and print natively via Zebra Browser Print — on Windows or Mac, without BarTender.

Postage vs. face label: Official FedEx shipping labels with prepaid rates usually come from FedEx Ship Manager, fedex.com, or multi-carrier tools (ShipStation, Shippo). mylabelmaker shines for custom pack faces, warehouse routing labels, reprint ship-to blocks from your order CSV, and any ZPL workflow you control. Use FedEx software for rate-shopping and payment; use mylabelmaker when you own the design and data.

  5. Load CSV in Variables → preview → print to Zebra.

FedEx Ship Manager + Zebra

If you already print paid FedEx labels from FedEx Ship Manager Desktop, keep that path for official postage. Use mylabelmaker when you need:

Do not invent FedEx barcodes: Tracking numbers and rate-paid label symbologies must come from FedEx systems when the label is a legal shipping document. For production paid labels, print from FedEx or your multi-carrier platform. mylabelmaker is ideal for controlled layouts when you already have valid tracking and address data, or for non-postage warehouse labels.
