How to use a Zebra label printer

Published: · 3 min read · Beginner

New to thermal labels? This is how to use a Zebra label printer: load stock, connect the computer, design free online, and print. You do not need ZebraDesigner for the first sticker.

Fast path: install Browser Print, open https://app.mylabelmaker.com, pick the size, print. No signup.

Unbox and load labels

  1. Plug in power. Connect USB (or Ethernet for network models).
  2. Open the media cover. Drop the roll so labels feed under the printhead.
  3. Align the guides and close firmly. Run a feed or calibrate if the first labels skip.

Stock sizes: thermal sizes guide. Common US shipping size is 4×6.

Connect to your computer

Install Browser Print (once)

Zebra Browser Print is a small free helper that lets the browser talk to the printer. Follow the setup guide. If the printer never appears: not connecting fixes.

Design a label free

  1. Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. No signup.
  2. Choose label size and DPI (203 or 300, match the printer sticker).
  3. Add text, barcodes, QR, logos, shapes. Use a template if you prefer.
  4. Optional: paste Excel or CSV for many rows. Batch guide.
