Migrate a crashy template in 15 minutes

1. Note physical size and DPI from a good printed sample or printer config label.
2. In mylabelmaker, set the same size/DPI.
3. Recreate text fields; insert native barcodes (do not paste screenshots).
4. Upload a compressed logo if needed; keep file size modest.

Crash after adding a company logo?

This is the single most common “complex label” crash pattern. Marketing sends a 5 MB transparent PNG. ZebraDesigner rasterizes it into the template; memory spikes; the process dies. On the free browser path, compress the logo first (small PNG or JPEG, high contrast), place it once, and print. If the browser tab ever slows, remove the image and re-add a smaller file — you have not corrupted a local project database.

Also avoid stacking dozens of overlapping shapes “for alignment.” Use snap guides and fewer objects. Thermal labels rarely need desktop-publishing complexity.

When reinstalling ZebraDesigner is a trap

Reinstall without exporting open templates can wipe the only good version of a 4×6 ship face. Before repair installs:
