Lot number and expiration date labels
Food co-packers, supplement brands, and warehouses need clear lot and expiration / best-by stickers. Print them free on Zebra thermal labels with spreadsheet batch.
Label layout that scanners and humans both read
- SKU / product name
- LOT: clearly labeled lot code
- EXP or BEST BY: unambiguous date format (e.g. 2026-12-31 or DEC 2026)
- Optional CODE128 of lot or SKU for WMS picks
Food panels: nutrition facts labels. Product stickers: product label maker.
Batch from production sheets
- Export production schedule or ERP lot report to CSV.
- Columns: sku, lot, exp, qty (qty can drive how many identical labels you print).
- Design once; print N copies per row or one row per unit.
- Match DPI (203/300) so small date text stays sharp — fuzzy fix.
Batch deep dive: batch print · Excel labels.
Compliance notes (US)
- Use the date wording your category requires (EXP vs BEST BY vs USE BY).
- Keep lot traceability consistent with your food safety / QMS records.
- This tool prints labels; it does not replace regulatory review of your panel claims.
Thermal direct labels can fade with heat, sunlight, or oil. For long shelf life on product, consider durability needs and placement.
