Free barcode generator for labels
Most free barcode generators only give you a PNG. You need a free barcode generator for labels that sets a real size and DPI, then prints a sticker that scans. That's this, in the browser. No signup.
Generate free: Open app.mylabelmaker.com. Add a barcode. Pick CODE128, UPC, EAN, or QR. Print.
What you can generate
- CODE128 for SKUs, bins, and serials. Most flexible.
- UPC-A for US retail product stickers you already own a number for.
- EAN-13 for international retail numbers you already own.
- QR for URLs, WiFi, and asset links.

How to use a free barcode generator for labels
- Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Set the size (2x1, 2.25x1.25, 3x2) and the printer DPI.
- Add a native barcode, not a downloaded screenshot.
- Add the human-readable text. Leave quiet zones on both sides.
- If you have a list, load Excel with
{{barcode}}. Guide: Excel barcodes. - Print with Browser Print, or download PNG or PDF. Scan one before the run.
Why PNG generators fail on thermal
- Wrong DPI: soft bars that will not scan
- Scaling in Word or Canva wrecks bar width
- No quiet zone control

Use cases
Good to know: Retail UPC and EAN have to be numbers you already own. Internal SKUs can use CODE128. We don't issue GS1 prefixes.
