EAN-13 barcode labels on Zebra printers — free design & print
EAN-13 is the global retail product barcode (13 digits including check digit). US sellers shipping internationally or using GS1 numbers often need sharp EAN-13 stickers on a Zebra — not a blurry screenshot from a free web generator.
EAN-13 vs UPC-A
- UPC-A — 12-digit North American retail common form
- EAN-13 — 13-digit international retail; scanners handle both in most stores

Free print path
- Confirm you own the GTIN/EAN (from GS1 or your brand account). Do not invent numbers for retail claims.
- Open mylabelmaker — choose size (often 2×1 or 1.5×1) and 203/300 DPI.
- Add barcode → format EAN-13; enter digits or
{{ean}}for batch. - Leave quiet zones; human-readable digits under the bars if required.
- Import CSV of products; batch print via Browser Print.
Native barcode objects at printer DPI scan better than PNG exports from random generators. If scans fail: barcode not scanning.
Retail design checklist
- Solid black bars; no gray or color
- Correct check digit (invalid EAN will not scan)
- Enough white margin left/right of the symbol
- Test on the same scanner class your customers use
