Zebra printer paused, head open, or not ready
The printer is paused, the head looks closed but is not latched, or it says media out with a full roll. That is the printer refusing the job, not a software bug. Clear the status, then print one test from the free label maker so you are not fighting a stuck Windows spooler.

What paused, head open, and media out mean
- Paused: press PAUSE to resume, and clear jammed jobs in the queue.
- Head open: re-latch the printhead firmly until it clicks.
- Media out: the roll is empty, or the sensor cannot see labels. Reload and calibrate.
- Ribbon out: thermal transfer ribbon is empty or not loaded.
- Error / caution: check the LCD or a config print for the exact code.
Clear it, then print one test
- Open the cover, reseat media, close the head until it latches.
- Press FEED to advance one clean label.
- Cancel pause on the printer panel.
- Cancel stuck jobs in the Windows or Mac print queue if you use drivers.
- Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com and send a one-label test.
