How to print Zebra labels from Chrome (free, no ZebraDesigner)
If you want to print Zebra labels from Chrome without installing ZebraDesigner, the modern stack is: free browser designer + Zebra Browser Print + USB or network printer. Chrome is the smoothest browser for most US packing desks.
What you need
- Google Chrome (current) on Windows or Mac
- Zebra thermal printer with media loaded (e.g. ZD420, ZD421, GK420d)
- Free Zebra Browser Print helper
- Free editor at app.mylabelmaker.com
Step-by-step in Chrome
- Install Browser Print from Zebra and leave the tray app running.
- Connect the printer (USB preferred for first test; Ethernet/Wi‑Fi on the same LAN works too).
- Open Chrome → mylabelmaker. Allow local network / helper access if prompted.
- Choose label size and DPI. Design text, barcodes, or QR codes.
- Click Print, pick the Zebra from the list, send a test label.
Chrome usually needs fewer certificate hurdles than Safari. If the printer list is empty, restart Browser Print, unplug/replug USB, then refresh the app — see printer not connecting.
Chrome print dialog vs Browser Print
