Create barcodes for inventory from a spreadsheet
Do this in the free app: app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Design the label, then print on a Zebra or download PNG / PDF / ZPL.
If inventory lives in Excel or Google Sheets, you do not need a barcode font. Open the free label maker, put a CODE128 barcode on {{sku}}, add {{name}}, upload the sheet, print.
Good to know: Format the SKU column as text so leading zeros stay. Internal SKUs use CODE128. A retail UPC is only for numbers you already own.
How to create inventory barcodes from a sheet
- Keep the inventory sheet. Headers: sku, name, bin (optional).
- Open the free label maker. Set 2x1 or 3x2.
- Add a CODE128 barcode with {{sku}}. Add {{name}} under it. Optional {{bin}}.
- Variables, Upload the Excel or CSV file. Preview two rows. Scan one. Print.

First row is the header. Those header words go inside the curly braces on the label, like {{sku}}.

Print or save
Zebra thermal: print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer’s DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. JSON keeps the editable master.
