Sit down and try it: app.mylabelmaker.com. No account. Make one label tonight, or print a whole list from Excel or Google Sheets when you need it.

Open warehouse inventory template

ZebraDesigner Professional 3 variable data is the paid spreadsheet merge. You can do that job for free. Open the free label maker, put {{sku}} on a barcode, load Excel or Google Sheets, and print one label per row. No database wizard. No signup.

Good to know: Variable data here means each row fills the label. It isn't RFID and it isn't a format stored in the printer.

How to do ZebraDesigner Professional 3 variable data for free

  1. Open the free label maker and design the label.
  2. Click a column onto text or a barcode, or type {{name}} where it should change.
  3. Load Excel, CSV, or a published Google Sheet.
  4. Preview a short row and a long one. Print the rows you checked.

In Professional you run a wizard, pick a file on disk, pick fields, drop them on the label. In Essentials you don't get that at all. Here you click the column name. That's the whole merge.

Variable data from Excel or Google Sheets without Professional

A shop list, a bin list, a guest list: same idea. Click sku, name, bin. Each row becomes a label. Edit row lets you search and fix a typo without going back to Excel. Print this is one reprint. Print is the checked set.

Google Sheets is extra. Professional 3 still won't take a live Sheet. Publish CSV, paste the URL, load again when the team edits. That's ZebraDesigner Professional 3 variable data, free, and it works on a Mac.

When you're ready to print or save

If a Zebra is plugged in, print from the browser. Set 203, 300, or 600 DPI to match the printer. On a regular printer, choose Print from this computer. You can also download a PNG, a PDF, or the ZPL code a Zebra reads. Save a JSON file if you want to open this label again later, spreadsheet included.
