Zebra printer connected to WiFi but not printing

Published: · 3 min read · How-to
Do this in the free app: app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Design the label, then print on a Zebra or download PNG / PDF / ZPL.

The Zebra is on WiFi and still will not print. That is usually pause, a wrong print language in Windows, or a stale IP. Send one job from the free label maker with Browser Print so you skip the Windows queue.

Good to know: We do not manage your DHCP reservation. If the IP changes after a night off, Browser Print may need a refresh.

How to print when WiFi is up and the job is not

  1. Look at the lights. Pause, head open, or media out will take a job and print nothing.
  2. Cancel anything sitting in the Windows queue.
  3. Open the free label maker and print one label through Browser Print.
  4. If that works, keep using the browser path. If it fails, reprint a config label and check the IP.

Not connected to the internet

A Zebra does not need the public internet to print. It needs the same LAN as the computer (or USB). “Not connected to internet” on the printer menu is normal on many units.

Print or save

Zebra thermal: print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer’s DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. JSON keeps the editable master.

Skip the Windows queue
