Print Brother labels from Excel or Google Sheets
You can print Brother labels from Excel or Google Sheets without building each one by hand. Open the DK number that matches the cartridge, click the column names onto the label, and print one label per row. It is free, and you do not sign up.
Sixty library books, one cartridge
Andre volunteers at a school library. He has an Excel file, Books to label. The first row is Title, Author, Barcode. Row 4 is Charlotte's Web, E. B. White, LIB-0144. There are 60 rows. The Brother on the desk is a QL-810W, and the cartridge is DK-1201, the 29 mm address tape. He wants a small label on the inside cover of each book, not a new design 60 times.
He opens the Brother DK-1201 address template. The label is already 3.54 by 1.14 inches, which is that tape. He clears the sample address. Title goes on the first line, Author under it, and Barcode becomes a real CODE128, not a font he picked in Excel. A barcode font in a spreadsheet often will not scan. A barcode the app draws will.
Excel, CSV, or a published Google Sheet
He uploads the .xlsx file. If the librarian had sent a CSV, that upload works too. If the list lived in Google Sheets, he would publish it to the web as comma-separated values and paste that link. A link that only lets someone view the sheet is not enough.
The first row must be Title, Author, Barcode. If the first row is Charlotte's Web, the app treats those words as column names and the labels come out wrong. He clicks Title, Author, and Barcode onto the label. Row 4 now reads Charlotte's Web, E. B. White, and a barcode for LIB-0144. Row 5 is the next book, same places, different words.
A few books are already labeled. He unchecks them. Print this is the one label on screen, so he sticks it inside one cover and checks that the title is not cut off on the narrow tape. Print is every row still checked. The workbook stays in the browser.
Use the DK number on the cartridge
DK-1201, DK-1204, DK-1208, DK-11209, and DK-1202 all fit a QL-700, QL-800, QL-810W, or QL-820NWB. DK-1202 is 62 mm wide, which is as wide as those printers go. A 4x6 tape, DK-1241, does not. That needs a QL-1100, QL-1110NWB, or QL-1115NWB. Open Brother DK-1202 shipping for a parcel label, or Brother DK-11209 when the label is a folder name and a barcode. Print from this computer. In the Brother driver, pick the same DK size. Do not fit-to-page. We do not install P-touch Editor for you.

Can I print Brother labels from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Upload Excel or CSV, or paste a Google Sheet published as CSV. Click the column names onto the DK template and print one label per row. No signup.
Will a QL-800 print a 4x6 Brother label?
No. A QL-800 stops at 62 mm tape, which covers DK-1201 and DK-1202. A 4x6 DK-1241 needs a QL-1100 series printer.

Look at one row before you print the rest. On a regular printer, choose Print from this computer and do not scale the page. On a Zebra printer, pick that printer after Browser Print is installed.
