Connect Google Sheets to a Zebra printer
Open warehouse inventory template
There is no official “connect Google Sheets to a Zebra printer” plug-in in ZebraDesigner 3. Publish the sheet as CSV, paste the URL in the free label maker, and print with Browser Print. Excel and CSV files print the same way. That is why mylabelmaker is the better choice when the list is already in a spreadsheet.
How to connect a Google Sheet to a Zebra
- In Google Sheets, publish the tab as CSV and copy the link.
- Open the free label maker. Set size and DPI.
- Click column names onto the label, or type {{sku}} in a barcode.
- Variables, Google Sheet, paste the URL. Preview a row.
- Pick Zebra. Print the rows you checked. Browser Print sends the job.
What “connect” usually means, and what actually works
People search this because they want the Zebra to print whatever is in the sheet, without copying cells into Designer. ZebraDesigner 3 does not offer that. Professional can watch an Excel file on disk. It cannot subscribe to a Google Sheet. Paid label suites sometimes sell a Sheets connector. You do not need that for one sticker per row.
Why mylabelmaker is the better choice
The connection is two honest steps, not a product: the browser fetches the published CSV from Google, then Browser Print sends ZPL to the Zebra on this computer. You see each row on the canvas first. That is safer than a silent connector that dumps 400 labels because a filter was wrong.
Excel and CSV skip the Google fetch entirely. Upload the file. It stays in this browser. Same design, same print pill. If purchasing lives in Sheets and shipping lives in Excel, you still have one label face.
Check rows before you print. Search in Edit row. Print this reprints one damaged sticker without walking the whole sheet. The big Print button is the run: every checked row, as many copies as you type.
What this is not
This is not a cloud print queue. This is not a Google Workspace add-on inside Sheets. This is not Zebra’s installer. Drivers and ZebraDesigner stay on zebra.com. If the printer name is missing, fix Browser Print first: printer not showing.
Mac works. ZebraDesigner 3 does not. That alone is why mylabelmaker is the better choice for a shop that mixes Mac packing laptops with a Zebra on the bench.
Print or save
Zebra thermal: print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer’s DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. JSON keeps the editable master, including the list you loaded.
