Zebra printer not showing in the app

If your Zebra printer is not showing in the app, the printer itself is usually fine. The website cannot talk to it on its own. It uses Zebra Browser Print, a small program from Zebra that runs on this computer. That program finds the printer and sends the label. Open it, pick Zebra Printer in the list, then use the Safari or Chrome page if the name still does not show.

Saved labels: Do not clear website data for app.mylabelmaker.com. That can wipe labels you already saved. On Safari, only remove 127.0.0.1 and localhost if you need to.

How to fix a Zebra printer not showing in the app

  1. In the app, click the printer list at the top and pick Zebra Printer.
  2. Open Zebra Browser Print on this computer. On a Mac it sits in the menu bar. On Windows it sits by the clock. Leave it open.
  3. Wait a few seconds. Your printer name should show under Zebra Printer.
  4. If it still does not, use the Safari or Chrome page below. Print one test label when the name appears.

It is a free program Zebra makes. You install it once. It stays in the menu bar or the Windows tray. The app asks it for the printer list. If that program is closed, the list stays empty even when the printer is on.

Why is the Zebra printer not showing in the app?

The app asks Zebra Browser Print on this computer for the list. If that program is closed, Safari blocked it, or Chrome said no to local devices, you only see Zebra Printer with no name under it.

Print one test

When the printer name is in the list, print one label. Do not send a whole stack until that test looks right.
