Zebra 4x6 labels
Zebra 4x6 is a 4 x 6 inch thermal roll. A 4 inch Zebra printer takes it, and so does a Rollo. Design it in the label maker. The ship-to layout, still without postage, is the 4x6 shipping label maker.

How to print Zebra 4x6 labels
- Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com/?template=zebra-4x6-shipping. No signup.
- The label is already 4 x 6. Change the words, or upload Excel, a CSV, or a published Google Sheet. One row becomes one label.
- If you already have ZPL, paste it in the ZPL viewer and set the width to 812 dots at 203 dpi.
- Install Zebra Browser Print once from Zebra, restart the browser, and print. The driver dpi should match the printer, or the label drifts.
Questions about Zebra 4x6
Is this a postage label?
No. It is the blank 4 x 6 size. You design what goes on it. The carrier sells the postage.
Does a Rollo use the same 4x6?
Yes, for the roll. Rollo prints from this computer. A Zebra can also take the ZPL through Browser Print.
Do I need an account?
No. The label stays in this browser.
The roll, the dots, and the printhead
Peel one label off the roll and measure it before you trust the box. Some "4 x 6" packs include the gap, and the face itself is a little under 6 inches. The template is the face. If your roll is short, lower the length in the app so the printer does not feed into the next label. A liner that is wider than 4 inches still needs a 4-inch printer. The extra liner does not make it a 2-inch roll.
A Zebra 4 x 6 label is 4 inches wide and 6 inches long. At 203 dpi that is 812 by 1218 dots. At 300 dpi it is 1200 by 1800. At 600 dpi it is 2400 by 3600. The template zebra-4x6-shipping opens the face at the 203 dpi shipping size. If your printhead is 300 or 600, set that DPI in the app before you print, or the picture scales and looks soft.
Most 4 x 6 shipping rolls are direct thermal. They go dark where the head heats them, and they do not use a ribbon. A thermal-transfer roll needs a ribbon. If you put ribbon stock in a direct-thermal printer, you get a blank label even when the preview looks fine. Set the media type to match the box.
Gap stock has a space between labels. Mark stock has a black line on the back. The sensor has to match. When the print sits too high or too low, run the calibration: hold the feed button until it flashes, then let go, and let the printer feed a few labels. The half-label and blank-label fixes live with the printer, not in the artwork.
A 2-inch Zebra cannot feed a 4-inch roll. A Rollo or a Munbyn 4-inch printer can use the same physical roll and print from this computer. Zebra can also take the code through Browser Print. The pack-face version of this size, still without postage, is the 4x6 shipping label maker. The dot math for other sizes is the DPI calculator.
This page is the blank size. It does not sell postage and it does not log into a carrier. If the carrier emailed a PDF, print that PDF at actual size. Use the template when the words on the label are yours.
