Essentials 3 is Zebra's free-ish designer, and it's still Windows, still a wizard, still no Excel. A lot of home users and shop folks bounce off it. You shouldn't need a class to put a name on a 2x1.

Why ZebraDesigner Essentials 3 feels hard

You pick a printer before you draw. Variable data is typing at print time, or a tiny values file, not a spreadsheet. There's no Google Sheets. There's no Mac. The interface is built like plant software because Zebra sells to plants.

When you're ready to print or save

If a Zebra is plugged in, print from the browser. Set 203, 300, or 600 DPI to match the printer. On a regular printer, choose Print from this computer. You can also download a PNG, a PDF, or the ZPL code a Zebra reads. Save a JSON file if you want to open this label again later, spreadsheet included.
