Print warehouse location barcodes from Excel

Location barcodes go on the rack, not the SKU. Put every slot ID in Excel. Design one location label in the free label maker. Barcode {{loc}}. Add aisle and bay as text. Print the map.
Good to know: One unique loc per row. Duplicate slot IDs send pickers to the wrong bay.
How to print location barcodes from a slot list
- Headers: loc, aisle, bay, level.
- Open the free label maker. Set 3x2 or 4x2 so the code is easy to scan from a pallet jack.
- CODE128 with {{loc}}. {{aisle}} {{bay}} {{level}} in large type.
- Upload the Excel file. Walk two bays. Scan. Print the rest.

A first aisle of a small warehouse might look like this.

First row is the header. Those header words go inside the curly braces on the label, like {{loc}}.
Item stickers are a different run: inventory barcodes. Bin names only: bin labels from Excel.
Print or save
Zebra thermal: print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer’s DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. JSON keeps the editable master.
