How to save a label as PDF

Published: · 3 min read · How-to
Do this in the free app: app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Design the label, then print on a Zebra or download PNG / PDF / ZPL.

Open product sticker template

Design the label in the free label maker, then click Options and Download PDF. You get a one-page file the same size as the label. Open it and print. Do not use “fit to page” or the sticker will shrink.

Good to know: Print at actual size. If the printer scales the PDF, barcodes can fail to scan.

How to save a label as a PDF

  1. Open the free label maker.
  2. Set width and height in inches to match the stock.
  3. Add the text and barcodes.
  4. Click Options, then Download PDF. Open the file and print at actual size.

When PDF is the right file

Use PDF when you will print from a laptop without a Zebra, send the label to a print shop, or keep a copy that looks the same on every computer.

Need a picture for a website? Save a PNG. Need someone to change the wording? Send the editable JSON.

Print or save

Print on a Zebra from the browser, or download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. Export JSON if you still need to edit the label later.
