When a ZPL viewer online helps

You already have a job from an ERP, a .zpl file, or an old export. You want to see it before the Zebra printer uses a label. Paste the code, set the width and length to the roll you loaded, and look. The picture stays on this computer. When you print, the printer receives the code you pasted, not a screenshot of that picture.

How to preview ZPL

  3. Type the label width and length in millimetres or inches. Match the roll in the printer.
  4. Preview on this computer. The preview is a picture. Print sends the code you pasted.
  5. Download PNG or PDF, or print to a Zebra printer with Zebra Browser Print.

A short job you can paste

Direct print uses Zebra Browser Print, and that helper is for a Zebra printer. DYMO, Brother, and Rollo use the print dialog on this computer, with scaling off.

The picture can miss a rare command. Print still sends the pasted ^XA job. To draw the label with the mouse and then copy ZPL, use the ZPL editor. If you came from Labelary, the Labelary page says what is different.
