What the free label maker can print
A name for a lunch box, a jar label, a SKU barcode, a serial number, or a QR code that opens a page. CODE128 is the usual barcode. UPC and EAN are there when you already have the number.
Templates cover DYMO, Brother, Rollo, and Zebra printer rolls, plus Avery sheets. Avery 5160 is a US Letter sheet, not A4. If your pack of labels is A4, measure one label and type the width and height in millimetres. Do not pick 5160 and expect it to land on a UK sheet.
How to make a label and print it
- Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. The screens are in English.
- Pick a template, or type the width and height. Use millimetres for a UK sheet or roll.
- Type the words. Add a barcode or a QR code if the label needs one. You can also add a serial number or today's date.
- For a list, upload Excel or CSV. Publish a Google Sheet as CSV first. The app does not open a Word .docx.
- Check the rows you want. You get one label for each row you check.
- Download PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. On DYMO, Brother, or Rollo, print from this computer with scaling off. On a Zebra printer, send the job with Zebra Browser Print.
Print from this computer
Mac or Windows. Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, or Brave. In the print dialog, set the scale to 100 percent, or actual size. Fit-to-page is what shifts the print off the label. The design stays in this browser.
FAQ
Is this free label maker actually free?
Yes. You design, download, and print with no signup and no ads. The label stays in this browser until you clear the site data.
Can I use an A4 sheet?
Yes, if you type the label size in millimetres. Avery 5160 is US Letter, not A4.
Will it open my spreadsheet?
Excel and CSV, yes. Publish a Google Sheet as CSV. A Word .docx stays closed. You get one label for each row you check, not a mail merge into every cell of a sheet.
Does it work with a Zebra printer?
Yes. You can copy ZPL or print with Zebra Browser Print. DYMO, Brother, and Rollo use the print dialog on this computer, with scaling off.
