Zebra printer not ready

A Zebra printer is not ready when the head is open, media is not sensed, or it is paused. Close the latch, load the roll, clear pause. Then the helper has to see the device. Open the free label maker after the ready light is on.

Good to know: A cover that is closed but not latched still reads as head-open, so it stays not ready.

How to fix a Zebra that is not ready

Close the head until it clicks. Load media. Press Pause if the pause light is on.
Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup.
Pick the printer in Browser Print. If the list is empty, start the helper and refresh.
Print one test label. Do not send a whole stack until it looks right.
