Zebra CUPS driver on Mac

Apple docs still say install CUPS because Zebra has no Mac driver. That's true for AirPrint-style desktop print. For labels, Zebra Browser Print talks to the printer without CUPS. Open the free label maker on your Mac and print from there. No signup.
Good to know: We do not ship a CUPS PPD. If a third-party app insists on CUPS, that is their path, not ours.
Zebra CUPS on Mac, and the browser path
- Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com on your Mac. No signup.
- Install Zebra Browser Print. Leave it in the menu bar.
- Trust the localhost cert if Safari asks.
- Select the Zebra. Print one test. Skip CUPS unless another app demands it.
If you still want CUPS
- Install official Zebra Browser Print for Mac
- Open the editor in Safari or Chrome
- Select the Zebra, no Printers & Scanners dance
- CUPS remains optional for other Mac apps
The quality warning you'll see
Generic Mac print can blur barcodes. Browser Print plus native bars stays sharp. Same path as print 4x6 from a Mac without CUPS.
Print from the browser instead
You don't need CUPS to print a sheet of barcodes. Map Excel in the free label maker, then Browser Print.
Print or save
If you have a Zebra, print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer's DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. Save JSON if you want the editable master later.
