You can print asset tags from Excel. Open the free label maker, map {{asset}}, {{loc}}, and {{user}}, barcode the id, and print 2x1 or 2x3 tags. No signup. Don't print passwords or BitLocker keys on a visible tag.

Good to know: Do not print passwords, BitLocker keys, or serials you treat as secrets on a visible tag.

How to print asset tags from Excel

  1. Open https://app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Set 2x1 or 2x3, matching your stock.
  2. Add a native CODE128 barcode (not an Excel font) and map the asset id. Add {{loc}} and {{user}} as text.
  3. Preview row 1 and a row near the end of the sheet.
  4. Print the stack on a Zebra, or download PDF or ZPL.

A common warehouse setup

Same idea as 300 unique barcodes on a ZD421: one layout, many rows. Save JSON so next year's inventory uses the same face.
