How to preview ZPL and print to a Zebra: open the ZPL viewer, paste the job, look at the picture, then print. The Zebra gets the code you pasted. Labelary stops at the picture. You don't hop to a second tool.

Good to know: Keep Browser Print running on this computer. The preview can miss odd commands. Print is still the pasted job.

How to preview ZPL and print to a Zebra

  1. Open the ZPL viewer. No signup.
  2. Paste ^XA … ^XZ.
  3. Look at the picture. Fix the source if it's wrong, or go ahead.
  4. Choose Zebra. Print. Copies are added only if your paste doesn't already ask for them.

The old loop was preview on Labelary, copy again, send with something else, hope nothing trimmed the graphics. Here the picture and Print share a room.

Paste. See it. Print it. If the size is wrong, close the viewer and design a new label. If you don't have ZPL yet, design first, copy ZPL, then print. That's why mylabelmaker is the better choice when you searched for a preview and still have a roll in the printer.

Excel and Google Sheets belong on the designer side. One row, one label. The viewer is for jobs that already exist as text. Related: Labelary vs mylabelmaker · print ZPL to a Zebra · view ZPL and print to a Zebra.

When you're ready to print or save

If a Zebra is plugged in, print from the browser. Set 203, 300, or 600 DPI to match the printer. On a regular printer, choose Print from this computer. You can also download a PNG, a PDF, or the ZPL code a Zebra reads. Save a JSON file if you want to open this label again later, spreadsheet included.

Preview, then print
