How to make UPC labels

A UPC label is a 12-digit UPC-A on a product sticker, often with the name. If you already own the number, open the free label maker, add a UPC-A barcode, print.
Good to know: We do not sell or issue GS1 prefixes. Buy those from GS1. Do not invent a UPC for retail checkout.
How to print a UPC sticker
- Open the free label maker. Set 2x1 or 1.5x1.
- Add a barcode. Choose UPC-A. Paste the 12 digits you own.
- Add the product name if you want it readable.
- Print a test and scan it. Then print the rest, or load Excel with a upc column.

A small catalog with numbers you already registered might look like this.

First row is the header. Those header words go inside the curly braces on the label, like {{upc}}.
Excel run: print UPC labels from Excel. Internal SKUs that are not retail UPC: use CODE128 instead.
Print or save
Zebra thermal: print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer’s DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. JSON keeps the editable master.
