Group objects on a label

Published: · 3 min read · How-to
Do this in the free app: app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Design the label, then print on a Zebra or download PNG / PDF / ZPL.

Open product sticker template

Need a barcode and a caption to stay together? Select both in the free label maker, press Cmd+G on Mac or Ctrl+G on Windows. Resize the group. Ungroup with Cmd+Shift+G or Ctrl+Shift+G.

Good to know: Grouping is layout only. It does not merge barcodes into one scan.

How to group objects on a label

  1. Open the free label maker and add text plus a barcode.
  2. Shift-click both, or drag a box around them.
  3. Press Cmd+G (Mac) or Ctrl+G (Windows).
  4. Move or resize the group. Print or download.

When grouping helps

Price plus barcode on a shelf tag. Name plus vCard QR on a badge. A logo locked to a SKU. Nested groups keep inner spacing when you scale the outer box.

Tables are a different tool: add a table to a label.

Print or save

Zebra thermal: print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer’s DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. JSON keeps the editable master.

Caption stays under the bars.
