Sit down and try it: app.mylabelmaker.com. No account. Make one label tonight, or print a whole list from Excel or Google Sheets when you need it.

A free label maker for home and business shouldn't be two programs. In the free label maker you can print a gift label after dinner, then in the morning load a SKU list from Excel or Google Sheets. Same Print button. ZPL and Zebra print are here if the shop needs them.

Good to know: At home you often print from this computer or a PDF. At work you often print to a Zebra. Both sit on the Print button. We don't sell the printer or the labels.

How to use a free label maker at home and at work

  1. Open the free label maker. No signup.
  2. At home: pick a template or a small size, type, then print from this computer or save a PNG.
  3. At work: set 4x6 or 2x1 and the printer DPI. Add a barcode. Load Excel, CSV, or a published Google Sheet.
  4. Check the rows you need. Print to a Zebra, or copy ZPL if another program will print.

You didn't install a home edition and a work edition. mylabelmaker is the free label maker for home and small business when you want both in one app.

Home labels: pantry, school, and gifts

Canning lids, backpack names, a WiFi code for guests, leftovers in the freezer. You set a size in inches, type, maybe drop a circle, and print on sticker paper. If a blank page feels like too much, open a template (jar wrap, name badge, QR label) and change the words. You can stop there for years. The shop tools won't get in your way.

Business labels from Excel or Google Sheets

In the morning the same app is a shop tool. You've got SKUs in Excel, bins in Google Sheets, or a CSV from Shopify. Click the column names onto the label. Preview. Print this if one label tore. Print for the rows you checked. Add a real barcode, not an Excel font. Number labels 001, 002, 003 if the sheet has no serial column. Stamp today's date if you need a pack date.

That's enough for most packing tables. It isn't RFID. It isn't a pharmacy certificate. It isn't postage. It's the label you control, filled from the spreadsheet you already keep.

Keep a home label and a work label from mixing up

Save each design with its own name. New label starts fresh, so the jam jar doesn't become a shipping label by accident. If you design at the kitchen table and print in the warehouse, export JSON (the file this app opens) and import it on the other computer. The spreadsheet can ride along with the design.

When the shop asks for ZPL

Some warehouses want the printer language, not a picture. Copy ZPL from Options. If someone emails you a block of that code, paste it in the ZPL viewer, look at the picture, then print it on the Zebra. You never have to open that at home. It's sitting there for the day the shop grows.

Paid software can still be the right buy for RFID or company-wide print rules. If you wanted one free label maker for home and business, you don't have to learn two programs. Spreadsheet detail: print industrial labels from Excel.

When you're ready to print or save

If a Zebra is plugged in, print from the browser. Set 203, 300, or 600 DPI to match the printer. On a regular printer, choose Print from this computer. You can also download a PNG, a PDF, or the ZPL code a Zebra reads. Save a JSON file if you want to open this label again later, spreadsheet included.

Use it at home and at work

Small tonight. A whole sheet tomorrow.
