What to put on the label

Open the head. Pull liner and labels forward — do not yank backwards through the sensor
Peel scraps off the platen roller; a sticky wrap looks like a jam on the next job
Reload with the print line at the tear bar; close until it latches
Calibrate gap/black-mark, then print one test label

After it feeds again

Wrong label length in software causes “jams” that are actually extra feeds. Set the artboard to the stock size, then print one label from the editor.
